Today we had an early morning two hour flight to the middle of Australia to a small town in the outback called Alice Springs. This is the capital city of the outback. Made four stops.
1. Saw a wild life park which showed us life reptiles that live here in the outback. Many dangerous poisonous snakes live in this area.
2. Visited the head quarters of the school of the air. Which provides on line schooling for children ages 4 through 9 th grade. Children who live in such remote areas they have no access to formal education.
3. Third stop was to visit the royal flying doctor service which provides medical care to a size of the country the size of the USA.
4. Last stop was to tour the world war 2 memorial. Australia was attacked
turning the war with Japan. Europe and America allies worked along side Australia troops fighting Japan.
Lunch in the town. Dinner tonight at hotel. Hot hot here over 100 degrees. Took a nap here in the room.
I got the answer to my question. I wonder what the New Zealand and Australia blog was all about.
